Mukhpreet Khurana (@mukhpreetkhurana ) along with many writers created a piece of art that focuses on Self-love and allows us to indulge in it with all we have and come out as a whole new person with self-acceptance and self-allowance. It has both, micro and macro poems; each poem encounters a different element of self-love.
‘Ease’ introduces us to an infinite pool of Self-Love and forces us to open up to an abundant self-acceptance and healing.
The title ‘Ease’ is perfect, and the cover gives the same vibe. Language is easy to understand. I loved the way the book is; the whole book gives you a comforting vibe; I liked the tree branches’ illustration on every page. The theme of the book i.e. ‘Comfortable in my own skin,’ is successfully fulfilled by the author till the last page.
Poems describe different phases of our life, especially those where we feel stuck. They tell us to allow ourselves to grow from it, to let go as there’s nothing in holding onto things, it’s okay to feel bad sometimes and to accept ourselves is all we need to grow through this life with ease.
I am unable to decide any one poem as my favorite one as I connect with almost all of them; however, I enjoy macro poems more. And the way the author has given closure to the book is beautiful.
Thanks to the author for this wonderful book and for bringing ‘Ease’ to our lives. I recommend it to all who loves poetry and want a light, soothing read. This book is good for beginners as well.
‘Ease’ is going to be my companion for life.
