‘I Will Forget You Too’ is a poignant love story of a boy who fell in love with his classmate. The book is filled with compassion, love, friendship, family, boundations, obsession and many more. The story starts with the protagonist revisiting his town and the memories of his first love fills him up with grief. He retells every moment that he has spent with her and asks himself why aren’t they together. Just like a blessing in disguise, his frustration also lead him to the solution.
The book is an easy and quick read. The title and the cover suits the story well; they are classy, attractive and mysterious. The writing style of the author is impressive. At many parts, he writes in a rhythmic way, which was enjoyable to read. The poems at the start and end of the book is beautiful. To end the book with a poem is a brilliant idea.
Language is easy. Narration is okay. A cute depiction of first love is well written. Feelings are expressed exquisitely. It’s less than 100 pages and it is great to see how the author has packed everything in just few pages. Writing style is amazing. Characters are developed completely and beautifully. The bond between the protagonist and his best friend is adorable and perfectly explained.
However, there are some things that the author left undescribed. Also, it would be great to know more about their relationship during their graduation. Apart from two or three typographical errrors, I found nothing that needs to be touched.
Overall, it’s a good read. I enjoyed reading the book, even though it isn’t my genre of choice. If you like romance and would like to know what first love feels like then, this book is for you.
