‘Outside the ( )’ is a collection of poems based on us and this society’s taboo. The poems encounters almost each topic that we put under the bracket, including body shaming, racism, mental health and many more like these. Plus it has some inspirating poems too.
What caught me in the first place is the title of the book and the content of the book made it perfect. The cover is classy. Language is easy to understand.
It has haiku, micro and macro poems. The title given to each is perfect as well.
The words the author has pour in the form of poetry feels pure and I think, we need this kind of thinking today more than ever. I loved the approach of the author; putting forward about topics that needs to be taken care of, in the form of poetry, is beautiful.
It’s hard for me to decide one poem but I hope what the author is trying to convey, people get that and put a stop to such taboos.
Overall, it was an emotional roller-coaster for me. Thanks to the author for the book. I recommend it to poetry lovers, to those who are comfortable in reading such topics and to the beginners.
