‘Wild World’ is a fascinating story of a langur, Bali and a bear, Bhola who have suffered the insanity of humans and are on a mission to rescue Rani, the tigress from the human’s trap. The story is interesting, gripping and enjoyable; its a light read with twists and turns.
The title is relevant. Cover is attractive. Both are well-suited. Writing style is simple and quick paced. Character development is gradual and every character brought justice to itself.
It is a great children’s book; “It takes me back to the nostalgic 90s comic era with sketches that describes scenes perfectly and especially, I think the characters Bali and Bhola were inspired from Timon and Pumba. I enjoyed reading the book. It’s hardly a 4 hour read with less than 200 pages.
It also shows us the perspective of wild world; how we humans just for the sake of entertainment misuse the animals; how we are unfair to our own nature and defame it in every possible way and what can happen if nature decides to strike back. That was very thoughtful of author to throw some light on an important topic without being harsh.
Overall, the book is humorous, intense and fascinating at the same time. I recommend this book to everyone; even being a children’s book, it can make even an adult feel good.
